Typically anywhere from 3 to 6 months, give or take. This depends mainly on the size and type of project.
The process is broken down into 5 main phases (excluding site supervision – as its not part of the design phases)
The pre-design phase is kicked off with an initial meeting to develop the project brief and to collect necessary information from the client.
The payment structure for the typical architectural design package is divided into two payments.
An initial payment is made at the start, after the kick-off meeting and the signing of the design contract.
The second and final payment is made after the building permit is issued and the construction drawings are completed.
